Can We Talk?

One of my absolute favorite pastimes is writing. There's a unique magic in the written word that often makes it easier for me to convey my thoughts and feelings compared to speaking. Amid the hustle and bustle of life, this space becomes a sanctuary where I can pour out what's in my heart through the art of writing. I hope you find enjoyment and resonance in these words I share. Feel free to engage and write back—I cherish our connection! Don't forget to subscribe to stay updated with new posts.

A New Season of Teaching, A New Way to Connect

2025 has truly been a year for the books.

Back in February, I accepted the opportunity to teach Pilates full-time at a local studio — something I had dreamed about for years. After juggling two jobs for a few months, I finally took the leap and transitioned fully into teaching. I told myself that I’d either find another office job eventually or focus on building something of my own.

Fast forward eight months, and I realized I'd only applied to a handful of jobs. I was completely immersed in teaching, learning, and growing — both personally and professionally. I’ve lost 15 pounds, my body feels incredible, and I’m no longer sitting behind a desk all day. I fell in love with the work, the people, and the feeling of helping others connect with their bodies in a new way.

But as much as I learned and appreciated the experience, there came a moment that reminded me: this was never meant to be my final destination. Sometimes, the universe has a way of nudging you when it’s time to move on — and that’s exactly what happened.

The situation challenged me deeply and, for a while, shook my confidence as an instructor. But ultimately, it pushed me back toward the path I was meant to be on: building my own space where I can teach in the way that feels most authentic to me.

While I love the energy of group classes — the music, the community, the collective motivation — my heart has always been in private sessions. One-on-one Pilates allows me to fully connect with the person in front of me, tailor each session to their body, and cue in ways that make sense for them. Private sessions create space for alignment, progress, and connection without the distractions or limitations that can come with larger classes.

Private Pilates also allows clients to move at their own pace without feeling rushed or overlooked, focus on form and alignment with real-time feedback, and address personal goals or limitations, from core strength to mobility to recovery.

So that’s what I’m doing, I’m stepping fully into that calling.

The Jey Method is more than a studio; it’s an experience. It’s a space to be introduced to Pilates or to deepen your existing practice. A place to teach your body how to defy gravity as you age, to move with intention, and to live in better alignment; not just on the mat, but in everyday life.

Through private sessions, group mat classes, and immersive wellness retreats — The Jey Method helps you reconnect with movement as medicine, blending strength, mindfulness, and longevity.

One of my favorite new offerings is Movement in Motion, a guided walk experience that takes Pilates principles off the mat and into nature. These walks are designed to reset the nervous system, encourage mindful breathing, and strengthen the body through natural movement, all while reconnecting with the simple joy of being outside.

The Jey Method is about more than exercise. It’s about creating a lifestyle that supports wellness, freedom, and ease in your body, no matter your age or starting point.

Here’s to new beginnings, authentic teaching, and to moving through life with strength, grace, and intention.
